Job Opportunity - Project Manager
CL2B (Closed loop to balance) – a Circular Economy Advisory firm in Vietnam. Our mission is together with our partners to build an economy where no waste is wasted, based on a vision where natural and human needs are balanced. The company is contributing to several programs in material efficiency, solid waste collection, up- cycling and CE business model into different sectors including tourism, manufacturing, urban planning, industrial investment & planning. We are looking for a passionate project manager to join our awesome team.
Project Manager will help to promote and be a role model to support the CL2B culture, growth, performance and image. Support the CL2B team in developing proposals/ and concept notes and project management in the areas of Circular Economy, Waste Management, Plastic Recycling, Environment and Climate Change thematic fields in order to achieve project goals, objectives, milestones and targets. This includes supporting the design of project proposals and services with local - international experts, businesses, NGOs, authorities to providing technical, project and financial management expertise and managing a network of experts and partners.
CL2B Project Manager will report directly to the director of the company.
Role & Responsibilities Project development, implementation and management
Delivery and manage CL2B projects, including: Design and planning, execution and evaluation in a logical way including: Project KPIs, Indicators, Impacts measurement...
Project budget management and quality assurance.
Set up project detailed work plan, project tracking sheet, procedures and obtain approval from internal and key external stakeholders for project proposal and project implementation.
Provide technical direction in developing proposal/concept notes.
Map out and facilitate project activities accordingly to the project work plan.
Work closely with local and national stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
Cooperate with key stakeholders (when appropriate) to ensure each project deliverable meet expectations; Oversee project implementation; ensuring that the expected and agreed quantity and quality are met per milestone between stakeholders.
Ensure project finance management in accordance with project guidelines and procedures requirements.
Ensure the effective communication flow among internal and external teams; Support the evaluation of project activities in a timely and professional manner.
Representation, Communication, Networking
Maintain and cooperate with the networks of implementation partners and external experts.
Be responsible in building new partnerships with target corporates, businesses and other related stakeholders. E.g. Liaising with other business, cooperation, associations, NGOs/organisations, universities, NPO communities and appropriate authorities' entities, for collaboration in project development and implementing project activities.
Participate in pitches to potential partners or represent CL2B in the forums/workshops/events related to the theme if required.
Teamwork and other tasks
Constructively contribute and collaborates with all colleagues to achieve the CL2B goals
Providing relevant training, coaching and capacity building and ensuring the project teamwork to be delivered on their performance objectives e.g. sharing the knowledge, experiences and expertise, coach fresh staff/external team, etc.
Provide regular updates to the CL2B founders or Project Lead and related Partners on technical implementation, staffing and funding opportunities and business development.
Additional duties in the future may include field trips, conducting interviews concept, reviewing products or services, creating strategies and other assigned tasks by the company founders.
Required skills and competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Passionate about environmental issues and the transition to a circular economy; a deep understanding of Vietnam cultures and Vietnam industry, ASEAN and ASEAN economy in related themes preferred.
Able to see the big picture and think strategically about the impact of projects;
Self-driven, working autonomously with a proactive approach;
Excellent inter-personal skills required to create the teamwork and member collaboration required for successful projects;
A team player, able to step in and support colleagues in an international start-up environment;
> 3 years relevant work experience, including a proven track record of successful project management and facilitation of collaboration;
Tertiary level education with a degree in business, economics, science, a technical discipline or Circular Economy, Waste Management, Plastic Recycling, Renewable Energy, Environment and Climate Change thematic fields equivalent preferred
